Privacy Policy

Effective date: 31 July 2025 (updates will be posted here)

Dnet Technology and Consulting ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit DnetTech.org and related pages (“Site”). California law requires that businesses provide a privacy policy that explains the types of personal information collected, the sources and purposes of collection, whether information is sold or shared, the rights of California residents and how to exercise those rights. You should read this policy together with our Terms and Conditions to understand how we operate.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: When you fill out our contact form, request a quote or interact with us, we collect your name, email address and (if you choose) your phone number. We use this information to respond to your inquiries and to provide the services you request.

Information collected automatically by our services: Like many websites, we use Google Analytics to collect log and usage data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, language preference, referring URLs, pages viewed, the time and date of your visit, and other technical information. This information helps us understand how visitors use our website and to improve user experience.

Captcha verification: Our contact forms include Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and user interactions – including IP address, browser and operating system details, referrer URL, mouse movements, keystrokes, time spent on the website and cookies – to determine whether an action is performed by a human. reCAPTCHA sets a cookie named _GRECAPTCHA to provide risk analysis. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply when you use reCAPTCHA.

Embedded Google Maps: We embed a Google Map showing our service area (within a 50‑mile radius around Fresno, California). Google may collect device-related information and store cookies when you view the map. The map may track users even if cookies are disabled. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

Sources of Personal Information

We collect information from you directly through forms and communications. We also receive information automatically from your device via cookies and similar technologies used by Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA and Google Maps. These tools may place cookies on your device or read device identifiers to perform analytics or security functions. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Purposes of Use

  • Provide and improve services – respond to inquiries, deliver requested services, enhance our site and monitor usage.
  • Security and fraud prevention – protect our site from spam, fraud and abuse using reCAPTCHA.
  • Analytics – better understand how visitors use our site and measure the effectiveness of our marketing.
  • Compliance – meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross‑context behavioural advertising. We may disclose your information in the following situations:

  • Service providers: We use third‑party services (Google Analytics, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Maps) to provide analytics, security and mapping. These vendors may process your information to provide their services. We require them to use the information only for the purposes we specify.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or court order, or to defend our rights and property.
  • Business transfer: If we restructure, merge or sell our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not allow any third parties to collect personal information through our site for their own marketing purposes.

Your Rights Under California Law (CCPA/CPRA and CalOPPA)

California residents have rights regarding personal information, including the rights to know, delete, correct, opt‑out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive information and not be discriminated against. We explain each right below:

  • Right to know/access: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes for which we collected it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., to complete a transaction or for security).
  • Right to correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to opt‑out of sale or sharing: We do not sell or share personal information for cross‑context behavioural advertising and do not use targeted advertising; however, you may still request that we confirm this status. If we ever decide to sell personal information, we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link as required.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: We do not collect sensitive information (e.g., Social Security numbers, financial information). If we do in future, we will provide a limitation mechanism.
  • Non‑discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

How to Exercise Your Rights

You can submit requests by:

  • Email: brett@dnettech.org
  • Phone: 559‑217‑3097

Please describe your request and provide sufficient information for us to verify your identity. We may ask you to confirm details that we already have and will respond within the time period required by law. We will not require you to create an account to submit a request and will provide at least two methods for making a request as required by California law.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided information may contact us at the addresses above.

Do Not Track and Cookies

Our website does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. CalOPPA requires websites to disclose how they respond to DNT signals and whether third parties may collect personally identifiable information over time and across sites. Third‑party tools such as Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA may track you across sites. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of our site may not function properly without cookies.

Updating this Policy

We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date and comply with any notice or cure requirements under California law. You should review this policy periodically.
